Ghana and Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah has hailed the mental fortitude of his Orlando Pirates team mates after they reached the final of this year’s confederation cup.
The Bucs progressed to the CAF Confederation Cup final after securing a 4-3 win over Al Ahly in their second leg tie on Sunday evening.
The feat is even more impressive given they went into the second leg of the semi-final tie with a 1-0 advantage.
And Gyimah who was not registered for the competition says his mates showed great character to make the final.
“I know what this team is capable of and that is the main reason why I joined them,” Gyimah said
“There is a great character to succeed and that was shown in the game against Al Ahly.”
“I am proud to be part of a group who have the aim of improving on a daily basis.”
The South African giants will now take on Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel in the final of the competition.
