Eighth "Route d'Accra" this month

The eighth annual cycling competition dubbed “Route d' Accra” would be held at Nima in Accra on October 27, this year.

Eight teams from Accra and two cyclists from each of the ten regions of the country would compete in this year’s competition for attractive prizes.

Mr Alex Adjei, Secretary of the Ghana Cycling Association, said on Friday that, the competition has been shifted to Nima because of the inconveniences faced at Osu last year which contributed to the low patronage by the public.

The competition which is sponsored by Ghana France Co-operation, Cowbell,

Pepsi, Wienco Fertilizers, Bic and Woodin is expected to feature among others, clubs like All Stars, Fire Bonch and River Park (Accra).
