An under-strength WAFA SC side lost their 100% winning record but managed to earn one point at Elmina Sharks after a 0-0 stalemate on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.

The Academy Boys missed the services of four key players who were pivotal in the wins against Karela and Ebusua Dwarfs.

In Elmina, it was Sharks who came close to finding the back of the net after a quarter of an hour.

Raphael Ocloo's cross from the left was headed wide by star man Benjamin Tweneboah.

WAFA SC goalkeeper Ferdinand Sabi Acquah was completely beaten.

After just 20 minutes, Sharks were forced to shuffle their cards when defender Suraj Ibrahim went down injured.

Head coach Yaw Acheampong introduced Joy Fumador.

Fumador got noticed before the end of the first half when his goal was disallowed for offside.

In the second half, Sharks continued asking questions against and in the 53rd minute Tweneboah delivered s a powerful shot from outside the box but WAFA goalkeeper Acquah produced a quality save to deny the hosts.
