In-form Elmina Sharks winger, Benjamin Tweneboah, has promised fans of the club more fireworks in their fixture against leaders Accra Hearts of Oak in the Normalisation Committee Special Competition on Sunday.
The 24-year old forward has been very instrumental in Coach Yaw Acheampong’s team particularly after producing a match-winning performance against WAFA in their midweek clash on Wednesday in Sogakope.
Tweneboah, lasted the entire duration of the game as his side sealed a shocking 1-0 away victory over WAFA.
He has so far netted three goals with three assists and also won one Man of the Match Award in the twelve matches he has featured for the Elmina-based club.
Hearts of Oak, on the other hand, defeated Karela United 1-0 courtesy defender Christopher Bonney’s expertly converted penalty goal.
The Phobians by virtue of that victory atop the Premier side Zone B table with 25 points, four above the Ayinase-based club who occupy the second position with 21 points.
However, the former Young Chelsea sensation in an interview with ncspecialcompetition.com says Elmina Sharks have what it takes to stop Kim Grant’s side on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium regardless of their ‘impressive’ display in the competition.
‘’Some people believe that Hearts of Oak will score Elmina Sharks on Sunday which I think is all part of the game but we are going to Accra to stop them.’’
‘’There’s no way we will return to Elmina without at least a point. People never believed that we could beat WAFA in Sogakope but surprisingly we beat them and that is exactly what we are going to do to Hearts on Sunday. We will stop them’’ he concluded.
