Elvis Manu scores 7th goal in dramatic loss to PSV Eindhoven

Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Elvis Manu took his season tally to seven goals in all competitions after scoring the opener for Feyenoord in their 4-3 loss at PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old hit the opener for Fred Rutten’s side with a brilliant 13th-minute finish in an outstanding game that ended dramatically at the Philips Stadion.

Manu, who had scored against Standard Liege in the Uefa Europa League last week, made another statement about his confidence in front of goal when he latched onto a pass upfront, rounded up the PSV keeper and rolled the ball into the net with defender Jeffrey Bruma failing to clear the ball off the line.

However, drama ensued in the game as Luuk de Jong scored a sensational hat-trick to ensure PSV Eindhoven hopes of winning the game was kept alive.

Turkish international Colin Kazim-Richards had pecked the scoring late for Feyenoord but Ghanaian-born Dutch international Memphis Depay sealed the win for the home side with a stoppage-time strike.
