Elvis Opoku threatened to terminate his Aduana contract Elvis Opoku threatened to terminate his Aduana contract

The midfielder had vowed never to return to Dormaa in his critically severe tirade against Aduana Stars and wanted his two-year contract with the Ghanaian champions terminated.

Elvis Opoku spoke on Dormaa FM on Thursday where he and his father showed remorse for the player’s damning critique of his own club last Saturday but the duo were very apologetic and humble.

“I’ve become a Dormaa citizen now. My pregnant partner is even from here (Dormaa) and she will even be delivering very soon. I am part of this town now. So I am sorry for what has happened” an apologetic Elvis Opoku said.

“I am pleading to the supporters of the club who were disappointed for my conduct to forgive me and let us leave peacefully now” he added.

Elvis scored three goals for the club during their 2018 Africa campaign and has formed a big part of Aduana Stars since he joined.

Alex Kamara is father of Opoku and has been blunt in condemning the conduct of his son.

“I was in Kumasi and got information of the interview my son did with Nhyira FM and in fact it was unnecessary and poor of him to do that. It was wrong to say all those unnecessary things about the club.” Mr. Alex stated.

“So that is why we have come to Dormaa to correct what went wrong. As a father I couldn’t sit unconcerned.”

“I have been a player before and this is not how a player should approach an issue. ” Opoku’s father added.
