Emmanuel Boateng's move to Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang is virtually done with the UD Levante striker having said his goodbyes to his team-mates.

Boateng underwent a successful medical tests ahead of his move to the Blue Hawks on Monday in Madrid.

The deal is expected to cost around €22 million, making the striker the second most expensive player in history.

The 22-year-old is understood to have said his goodbyes to his Levante team-mates already following a visit to the Bunol training ground.

"I will miss everyone at Levante. Thanks to the fans, coaches and my teammates for their unflinching support during my stay" Boateng told Kickgh.com in an exclusive interview.

"Levante is like a family and I am still a supporter of the club despite leaving to join a new club"

Boateng shot to the fame in Spanish football in the side's 5-4 win over Barcelona last term, with him bagging a hat-trick in the game.

In 2017, he joined Levante UD from Portuguese club Moreirense on a transfer fee around 2.9 million euros.

He scored eight goals with two assists in his 48 appearances for Levante UD during his stay.
