Cape Coast, Dec.21, GNA - Emmanuel Sam, a former Black Stars player was on Saturday, December 18 laid to rest at the Cape Coast Asokyeano cemetery.
The late Sam in his hey days featured for Ebusua Dwarfs, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Great Olympics during his football career. Sam 57, died after a protracted illness.
Present at the burial grounds were members of Central Region old Players Association and Mr Edward Acquah, a former member of the Black Stars.
Mr Mathew Doe, Chairman of Central Region Football Association in a tribute described the late Sam as a disciplined player who contributed immensely to Ghana soccer during his football career.
