Enchi soccer clubs call for fairness.

Enchi, (W/R) Nov.6, GNA - Two Second Division football clubs in Enchi in the Western Region have appealed to the Regional Football Association (RFA) to ensure that this year's Zonal league was fairly organised to avoid violent incidents.

Anthony Nana Boakye, Chairman of FC Roma and Mr. Ben Tettehfio head coach of Enchi Soccer Wise Professionals said the continued delay in the commencement of the league was having adverse effect on the teams and the players.

In separate interviews with the GNA Sports at Enchi on Saturday they appealed to the RFA to commence the league without any further delay. Mr. Tettehfio said in order to have a successful league season, the RFA should appoint competent referees to handle matches and also insist on fairness by monitoring the performance of the match officials. Nana Boakye said the tendency where only one referee was made to handle all matches in a particular Zone must be reviewed to ensure fairness to all.

He attributed the situation to the misunderstandings and confrontations among teams and supporters during and after matches and said as much as possible appointed referees should be changed to prevent any compromises.

Nana Boakye also appealed to organisations and individuals including football fans to support their clubs by donating either in cash or in kind to enhance the activities and development of the clubs. 06 Nov. 05
