Eric Addo, who was on loan to Roda JC has returned to PSV in a bid to help bolster up the League Champions defence.
PSV coach Guus Hiddink had already stated earlier in the week that he had targeted 3 possible enforcements for his backline, one of whom was Chelsea benchwarmer Winston Bogarde.
However, with the transfer of Bogarde still to be completed Hiddink has now decided take advantage of his fall-back option by cutting Addo's loan spell at Roda JC short.
Since joining Roda at the beginning of the season the 25-year-old Ghanaian defender has not been able to feature on a regular basis in Kerkrade and he is now hoping that he will have a better chance with PSV.
Addo, who will be eligible for the UEFA Cup third-round meeting with Italian side, AC Perugia, joined PSV from Club Brugge KV in 1999, but injury problems restricted him to just 24 league appearances before being loaned to Roda JC in the Dutch league.
