Asante Kotoko left-back Eric Donkor has praised the teeming fans of the club for their overwhelming support for the club despite their unimpressive display in last season’s league.

Since the arrival of Coach David Duncan, the former Windy Professionals guardsman has become a fearsome player with his set pieces as he usually plays as a left winger, instead of full back.

Donkor’s solitary strike in the SWAG Cup final with Ashantigold at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium a few weeks ago won the day for the Porcupine Warriors.

The versatile defender has praised the die-hard fans of the Porcupine Warriors for their support despite the club’s poor display in last season’s league.

“I am very grateful to our supporters for their massive representation. They really showed us love. I appreciate that so much. They supported us throughout last season though we couldn’t win them anything” said Donkor.

Asante Kotoko went trophyless last season missing out on all competitions including the CAF Champions League, FA Cup and the Premier League.
