Espanyol has provided an escape route for Chelsea outcast Christian Atsu with an imminent loan switch offered by the Spanish side.

The liga outfit came close to sealing a six month loan spell for the trickery Ghanaian only for his parent club to pull the plug.

Atsu joined Chelsea from FC Porto but has since been made a mercenary for the reigning English Champions with loan spells at three different clubs already.

The 23 year old Black Stars attacking wide man recently returned to the Stand Ford bridge after a nightmare from the treatment table.

The wing Wizard, who has since been shipped to Vitesse Anhem and Everton, headed to premier league newbies, AFC Bournemouth on a year long loan.

Two cup appearances for the 2015 African Cup Of Nation’s MVP was blighted by long spells on the treatment room as Chelsea truncated his stay at the Vitality stadium.

The nomadic Ghanaian has reportedly topped the list of wanted played by Spanish side RCD Espanyol in the Winter transfer window. A renowned portal in spain, footballespania, has credited the Barcelona based side with a second bid for their Ghanaian forward as they look to improve on the 14th place in the log.

Atsu fired his first Chelsea goal in the reserve side at home to Queen Park Rangers in a 5-0 demolition exercise that has Baba Rahman playing 90 minutes as well.
