Essien,Sulley, Other Stars Fete Over 3000 Kids@ StepApp

Thousands of under privileged kids turned up to fratenize with Ghanaian internationals in Accra for the ‘StepApp to Sports’.

The event organised by StepApp Foundation - founded by Stephen Appiah and supported by headline sponsor of the Black Stars, Gold Fields Ghana was to help people in dire need in the rural areas of the country.

The day attracted Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Laryea Kingston, Daniel Opare and former Ghana international Tony Baffoe.

More than 3,000 kids had the opportunity of receiving motivational talks from the players who shared their life lessons and rise to fame with the kids.

The players urged the youth to turn against crime in their quest for better living, insisting there are genuine options like playing football to reach the top which rather makes a positive impact on society.

Various youth groups present played football matches before winners of the various categories were awarded with trophies.

Th ‘StepApp to Sports' is an annual community based tournament for school going children up to Junior High School and it also seeks to help people in dire need in the rural areas of Ghana.
