Michael Essien could be headed to Qatar this summer after enquiries from a Qatari club Allsports understands.
A source close to the the Qatari club confirmed to Allsports.com.gh that they were interested in bringing the AC Milan star to the gulf and had made a proposal to the representative of the midfielder.
Essien joined Milan from Chelsea on a free one a year and a half contract but with a new manager Pippo Inzaghi at the helm and Milan looking to bolster a team that floundered last season, Essien is dispensable.
Essien was a part of the Black Stars team that underwhelmed in the World Cup, but made only a single appearance as a substitute against the USA.
