Former Hearts of Oak defender Evans Quao has expressed his disappointment after his contract with club was mutually terminated on Friday.
Quao joined the Phobians as a free agent from Asante Kotoko prior the start of the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.
The hard-tackling guardsmen was among four players defenders Joshua Otoo, goalkeeper Theophilus Jackson and Cosmis Dauda who were released by the club last week by for non-performance.
During an interview with Hot FM, Quao was left perplexed by the decision of the Rainbow Club, though he states that it's part of the job.
"I am a little dissapointed but it's cool," he tild Hot FM.
"We were just called to the office and we all received the letters. I gave it to my managers and they broke the news to me."
"I wanted to do my best for the club but it's unfortunate it happened like this. I just played four matches for the club before this unfortunate issue."
When asked if he's received an offer from any Premier League side, the defender declared he will consult his managers before taking any decision on his next destination.
'I will now sit with my managers and we will know the way forwward. My April salary is not in yet but am still waiting for Hearts officials."
