Former Ghana goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey will bury his father, Jerry Franklin Kwarasey, at the Lashibi Funeral Homes (Pavilion) today, July 6, 2024. He was 66.

A burial mass is scheduled to take place at St. Bakhita Catholic Church, Community 20, in Tema, which will be followed by interment at the Lashibi Funeral Homes, Pavilion.

The final funeral rites will follow at the same venue after the interment, and then a thanksgiving service will be held at St. Michael's Garrison Catholic Church, opposite the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on Sunday. A family sitting is scheduled at the Army Officers' Mess, 37.

The former Strømsgodset and Portland Timbers goalkeeper is being hosted by businessman Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong) at his plush residence in the Airport Residential Area.

Kwarasey made 24 appearances for the Black Stars from 2011 to 2016.

The businessman has met the former Ghana international on three occasions in Norway recently during the latter's scouting trips.

Indications are that the former Black Stars goalkeeper will soon be working for the highly sought-after Kenpong Football Academy as their International Relations Manager.
