Former Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah, is currently in stable condition and gradually recuperating after a poisoning incident.

Reports indicate that the football administrator experienced this unfortunate event while attending a friend's party in Tarkwa over the weekend.

According to Wontumi TV, Amponsah was expected to travel outside Ghana for business purposes on Wednesday, but his health condition has delayed those plans.

Dela Fishbone noted that Amponsah has not disclosed the specific health facility where he is receiving treatment.

As of now, no suspects have emerged regarding the poisoning, despite efforts to reach out to Amponsah's camp for more information.

Nana Yaw Amponsah served as the CEO of Asante Kotoko from August 2020 until August 2023, during which time the club celebrated its record 24th league title in the 2021/22 season.

In January 2024, he took on a similar role with Moldovan club FC Petrocub Hincesti but departed after just six months in July 2024.
