Former Kotoko centre back, Richard Manu, has been appointed the head coach of German third division side, Eintracht Dillingen.
Manu entered into mainstream coaching years after playing and studying the game after ending his career with the Porcupine Warriors six years ago.
Coach Manu holds a UEFA Licence B Coaching Certificate and hopes to advance to the highest pedestal. This is his first season with the German lower division side and has won six out of eight matches.
“I’m delighted at this development because it has been my dream. It’s been my passion to get to this level of football. I’m highly grateful to Dillingen for this chance. I’m happy with the chance to learn.
“I have gathered a lot of experience and knowledge while playing in Germany and Ghana.
"I started my coaching studies from December last year; it’s been an interesting experience so far for me. I hope to do more in the coming years. This is my first season at Dillingen and I hope to come to Ghana in the future,” he told Starr Sports.
The 42-year-old hopes to coach Kotoko some time to come after his European exploits.
