F.C TANGA held Bolga All Stars to a one all draw, in a Bolgatanga derby at the Bolgatanga Stadium on Sunday April 3, 2016, as part of week 5 matches played in the GN Bank Division One League.

The match which started on a low note, picked up momentum, in the 10th minute, when both sides started creating goal threatening chances against each other.

It was a ding-dong affair, as both teams played with caution to protect their goal areas, while they all searched for the opener as well.

On the 25th minute of the match, Frank Amoto picked a loose ball from a Bolga All Stars Midfielder and laid a through pass to Kenneth Mbah, who moved past two defenders and directed the ball into the net of Bolga All Stars. The goal brought excitement to the faces of about two-third of the spectators at the Stadium. It was very obvious that many of them wanted F.C TANGA to win.

F.C TANGA settled in the game and controlled affairs to the end of the first half of the match.

In the early minutes of the second half, Bolga All Stars had a penalty against F.C TANGA, which they capitalized on to put the match on a level pegging.

Both teams treaded cautiously, to avoid being scored another goal. However, F.C TANGA played like dreaded lions and pressed more with the intention of claiming supremacy over Bolga All Stars with a winning goal, unfortunately all efforts proved futile.

In the dying minutes of the game, another controversial penalty was taken against F.C TANGA, but Bolga All Stars failed to score as F.C TANGA's Goalkeeper, Nashiru Zakari stopped the ball from entering his net.

For some spectators, the Officiating was good, but from the view point of an overwhelming majority, it was unfair and thought Officials would have considered the repercussion of a deliberate bias officiating.

At a point the Centre Referee, Daniel Dogbetor allowed some "karate" kicks and open disrespect from the player with number 7 shirt (Tanko) of Bolga All Stars to go unpunished.

Suddenly Soldiers engulfed the F.C TANGA bench, behind the TANGA Goalkeeper's post and restricted movement of team officials as well. Even Reporters covering the match, and were not happy with how the match was going, had to be violently be pushed out. It was as though, the Soldiers had been told to ensure that, what looked like an arm twisting was not reported or captured.
