‘FA technical director job will be dream come true, happiest moment in my life’- Bashir Hayford

Veteran Ghanaian Coach, Bashir Hayford says getting appointed as the technical director of the Ghana Football Association will serve as the happiest moment in his life.

The position has become vacant following the expiry of Oti Akenteng’s contract before the start of the month. The Football Association has already announced the process to begin the appointment of a new person to handle the role.

Former Asante Kotoko and AshGold SC head Coach Bashir Hayford has applied for the position. The two time Ghana Premier League winner believes he comes on board with an unmatchable experience and a rich CV.

Speaking on FMiG’s FootyShow with Sheikh Tophic, Coach Hayford revealed that securing the job will be a dream come true and the happiest moment in his life as a coach and entirely

“That will be the happiest time in my life because I have prepared myself very well to take up every challenge in football so that I can help serve my country” he said.

“I will be very happy because I know what is in me, I know what I can do”.

“My dream is that one day I will give what I have learnt back to the FA…so that will be my happiest day if I assume that seat” he wrapped up.

Bashir Hayford has also had stints with clubs like Power FC, Hearts of Lions, Medeama SC and Ebusua Dwarfs, while he’s served Ghana in the capacity as head coach of the Black Queens and the female U-17 side.

He previously occupied the technical director role at the Somalian Football Federation before leaving the post at the beginning of this year.
