FA to name new kit sponsor soon

The Ghana Football Association are close to naming an apparel sponsor for the country?s national football teams.

The FA has been assessing proposals from some leading kit manufacturers including Puma, Adidas, Asics, Pony and Umbro.

Officials of Puma and Umbro have already met the FA to back their proposals with Puma vice-president, Horst Widmann leading a team to Accra last week.

Rex Danquah representing Umbro, have held discussions with the FA on a number of occasions.

Umbro provide kits to the national teams but are being purchased by the FA?s major sponsors-Goldfields Ghana.

According to a JoyFM source, Puma has proposed to give Ghana one of the best deals it has for an African country apart from the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

Puma recently signed a two-year contract with Togo to join Cameroon, the Ivory Coast, Senegal and Tunisia who are all signed to the German company.
