FCPPL weekend action: AshGold host Hasmal, Kotoko visit Bechem

Action in the First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL) continues this weekend with match-day 11 fixtures at all centres nationwide.
Leaders, AshantiGold SC will look to keep their unbeaten home run intact as they await the visit of Sekondi Hasaacas to the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi on Sunday.
The Miners top the standing with 22 points from the 10 games they have played and will be in confident mood of extending that tally with Hasaacas having not been that impressive on their travels so far.
Defending champions Asante Kotoko have signed a new coach in former Ghana under 17 coach David Duncan, and he takes his new charges to Bechem where they will play as guests to Bechem United.
The Porcupines have made a poor start to the defence of their title as they lie 14th on the ladder with 11 points and, they should not expect any favours on Sunday against a United side that has shown good form at home since they joined the elite division of football.
Hearts of Oak will welcome Brong Ahafo United to the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra and will be the odds on favourites to collect the three points. They come up against a side that has lost all their away games and are bottom of the ladder with seven points.
A derby in the capital will be fought at Dansoman where Liberty Professionals will be the home side for the visit of Accra Great Olympics. Professionals are sixth on the ladder with 15 points and will fancy their chances against the Wonder club who have amassed nine points and sit in 15th position.
A fierce battle is anticipated at the Golden City Park, Berekum where local side Chelsea host Heart of Lions. They have fought some brave battles in the past and this one is expected to follow a similar trend with the point’s very important to both.
Medeama Sporting Club will be at home at the Tarkwa T&A Park where they host New Edubiase United. Both have 13 points from their 10 games and Sunday's fixture should provide fans something good to cheer about.
Third placed, International Allies, head up north to Wa were they will play as guests to All Stars at the Wa Stadium. Allies have made a promising start to this campaign but, that would be seriously tested against one of the sides that is traditionally very strong at home.
The weekend action starts on Saturday when the West African Football Academy (WAFA) wait for the visit of second placed Aduana Stars to their Sogakope base. It should be a good game to savour for fans in the Volta region.
