Fabio Paim, a former teammate of Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo, has begun a new career in the film industry as a porn star.

UK-based newspaper, the Daily Mail reports that the former Sporting CP player started his new career in the first weeks of October 2024.

In an interview with Globo Esporte via Record, he said he has always had an interest in becoming a porn star and received offers when he first announced it on a podcast.

"Here in Portugal [the news about the pornographic film] is all the rage; everyone is going crazy. Do you know why? Because people don't take it the wrong way; that's just how I am. On a podcast, I said that my dream was to be a pornographic actor. I got a lot of offers. I was on the news, I was on the front pages of newspapers... and I hadn't done anything," he said.

He emphasized the benefits of being a porn actor, stating that actors get paid for having sex.

"Since everyone was talking about it, [I thought] let's make a film. And I did. I'll tell you one thing: it's good to have sex and still get paid for it."

Paim claimed that he was a better player than Ronaldo during their time at Sporting's youth team, but talent alone could not take him to the top.

"He grew up with me, we spent a long time together. I was Sporting's number one at that time. Cristiano started to be Cristiano when he went to Manchester. Even then, nobody knew he would become what he is today."

"Today Cristiano is the king; Paim is nobody. And people say, 'Oh, he's a liar; he wasn't better.' But the truth is that I was better than him, and everyone knows that. I had more talent. But talent is nothing, talent is just a little bit. If you don't have the rest, you'll be nobody."

Fabio Paim played for a total of 19 clubs in his professional career. He last played for Portuguese League 2 side Leixões Sports Club in 2018.

He played for Chelsea at one point in his career, earning a loan move from Sporting to the English side, but only featured for the reserves.

The 36-year-old faced serious allegations during his playing career, including accusations of rape in 2012 and 2015, but neither case led to a trial.

In 2019, he was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and served a short time in prison but was eventually cleared.
