Faisal, Bofoakwa to appear before Appeals C'ttee

Accra, Sept. 26, GNA - Premier League sides, Kumasi King Faisal and Tano Bofoakwa are to appear before the Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following an appeal case filed by Faisal.

The case which is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27, at the GFA secretariat at 3: 00 pm, will hear the appeal made by Faisal against a ruling of the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA which called for the deduction of six points from their total points for the use of an unqualified player in the first week league game against Bofoakwa. Mr Emmanuel Gyimah, Deputy General Secretary of the GFA in a Press Release copied to the GNA Sports advised the Clubs or their counsels to endeavor to appear before the Committee without fail.

Faisal is seeking to overturn the decision of the Disciplinary Committee and restore their position on the league table. Faisal, who before the ruling had five points from four matches have now been pushed to the bottom of the table with a one point deficit after the decision of the Committee.

Also to appear before the Committee are two Division One Club sides, Topsymore and Aduana Stars.
