Faisal vows to make amends as they clash with Kessben FC

Kumasi, June 22, GNA - The management of Kumasi-based King Faisal FC have vowed to keep their aspirations of completing the Glo Premier League among the top four clubs when they clash against city-rivals, Kessben FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Wednesday. The 25th Week encounter is anticipated to be fiercely contested with Faisal assuring their supporters of a better performance after they lost 0-1 to Swedru All Blacks in the 24th Week match.

"We have the firm believe that our players disappointed us in our match against All Blacks as they did not play according to instructions from the technical bench, which in the long run could have ensured at least victory or draw for us", Mr Samuel Otoo, Communication Director of Faisal told GNA Sports in Kumasi on Monday.

Mr Otoo blamed the playing body, especially the strikers and the poor nature of the pitch as a contributory factor to their defeat against All Blacks, stressing that as the team had learnt its lessons, management expected them to make amends in winning their subsequent matches.

He was not happy about the unfair officiating when Faisal engaged Kessben in the first leg encounter which ended goalless at Abrankese. "It is my prayer that everything would go on smoothly this time round with good officiating and to ensure a level playing field to enable Faisal snatch the three maximum points at stake", he stated.
