The great-grandchildren of Asafoatse Nettey, the founding fathers of the Accra based club, have declared the phobians a persona non grata ahead of the club’s 108th anniversary since it’s formation.
This follows the club hierarchy failing to attend a planned meeting at the family house on Saturday before the anniversary commemoration on Monday 11th November 2019.
As its normally done during anniversary commemorations, the team visits its spiritual home to pay homage to its founding fathers but they have been warned by Christopher Nertey a great-grandson of the late Asafoatse Nertey not to step foot in the house on Monday.
"We will sack them if they come to the Nertey family house on Monday to seek prayers.” he told Fox Fm.
“I Christopher Nertey is saying if Accra Hearts of Oak comes home we will lock them at the gate.”
“We don't want them in the house, they should not dare to come to the house on Monday, this is the word of the family including me, I want [Kwame] Opare to know he should not step into the house on Monday.”
“Kwame Opare Addo told us he will come to the house yesterday together with Elvis Herman Hesse, we prepared the hall for them and waited for them from the morning to 6pm in the evening and they never came, they don't even respect the family and we don't need them here on Monday.”
“If they like they should come and we show them where pepper lies. They are liars!”
“If they do those things then they come and apologize, when we sit in a meeting with them and forgive them, they repeat it, we will punish them.”
“I will personally cut down some of the branches of the Oak tree we planted to represent the club, I am on the farm and you can never know the farm more than me.”
"When was the last time Hearts of Oak beat Kotoko of late? We have stopped every prayer we do for the club and this will continue." he fumed.
