THE Lagos based BRF Youth Football Academy owned by the Lagos Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) is expected to leave for Ghana today for a friendly match with the Liberty Academy of Ghana billed for Saturday, April 10 in Accra. The friendly invitation is at the instance of celebrated Ghanaian coach, Silas Tetteh who is technical director of the Ghanaian youth side. According to the administrator of the BRf, Kayode Oderinde, the 24-man delegation (20 players and four officials) will depart for Ghana on Friday morning aboard Arik Air flight. In preparation for the international friendly, the BRF team had last Saturday defeated Trainozzini Academy 2-0 at the Governor's Office training pitch, Ikeja, with goals from Tunde Babalola and Salami Otolorin.

Also on hand to inspire the lads was ex-Nigerian international goalkeeper, Dodu Joseph who shared some ideas with the boys on the fundamentals of a successful football career. The BRF Youth football Academy was set up in January 2009 with the objective of raising well grounded future players for Nigeria, just as Oderinde lauded Fashola for the initiative.

"We can only beg Lagosians to continue to thank Governor Fashola for the wonderful opportunity he has provided for us and the players to achieve their goals in life," Oderinde said.
