Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is under a spell after he reportedly jilted his fiancée following his call-up into the Black Stars in 2013, Lawrencia Abena Wurah has revealed.
According to Abena Wurah, her mother is responsible for the woes of the Ghana goalkeeper who left her after his breakthrough.
She claimed Dauda left her without a just cause after dating him for many years which forced her mother to invoke curses on him.
The 29-year-old has been farmed out on loan to Chippa United after a difficult spell at South African side Orlando Pirates.
He struggled for game action at the side, forcing him to look elsewhere this season.
However, the disgruntled lady claims her mother’s curses are working against him.
“I dated Fatau for several years and financially things were not all that good, so my mum and I were really there for him, assisting him in that regard,” she told Metro FM.
“However, immediately he was called to join Ghana’s team for the Nations Cup in South Africa, he told me it was over between us, without any good reason.
“We thought he was joking, but Fatau executed it after the Nations Cup and that really hurt my mum and I and out of pain, cursed him that he would be a bench warmer in his new club then (Orlando Pirates).
“My mum has indicated that if he doesn’t render an unqualified apology to us for such an ungrateful act, things would continue to be bizarre for him.”
Dauda must now deal with two curses which have been invoked on him after a local agent Blessing Danso invoked a similar one on him.
He claimed Dauda failed to pay his 10% agreement fee after he brokered the Orlando Pirates deal.
