Officials of Hearts of Oak have made approaches towards signing Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda.
The 30-year-old is available as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at AshantiGold.
Dauda has been contacted by prominent officials of the Phobians towards joining the club to compete with Burkinabe Soulama Abdoulaye for the no.1 spot.
Hearts are in the market for a goalkeeper after admitting to the frailties of Tetteh Luggard and Mutawakilu Seidu.
The Phobians were in the hunt to sign Ernest Sowah only to lose out to their rivals Asante Kotoko.
They have now turned their sights on Dauda who is now in Accra following the end of the season where he helped AshGold to their first domestic title in close to two decades.
But the question is whether Dauda will sign for Hearts of Oak since Ashgold are due for Africa next season.
