Black Stars winger Fatawu Issahaku will play under a new manager at Leicester City following the appointment of Steve Cooper.

The English manager takes over from Enzo Mascara, who is credited with elevating the Ghanaian teenager's game to an appreciable standard.

Enzo departed Leicester for Chelsea after securing a Premier League promotion for Leicester City.

The Foxes announced Cooper's appointment in a statement released on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

"Steve, 44, has agreed to a three-year contract and arrives at King Power Stadium as the club continues its preparations for our top-flight return, following promotion from the Sky Bet Championship last season.

A manager with Premier League experience following a successful spell with Nottingham Forest, whom he guided to and established in the top flight between 2021 and 2023, Steve has built an excellent reputation in the game for his coaching and leadership qualities," the club wrote on their official website.

Fatawu Issahaku will be hoping to forge a strong bond with Cooper, replicating the relationship the manager shares with Black Stars captain Andre Ayew.
