Leicester City's young sensation, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, has visited Haruna Iddrisu to express his gratitude for the support and guidance he received throughout his football journey in Ghana.
The Tamale South MP, bankroller of Steadfast FC, is known to have been instrumental in Issahaku's development from grassroots football to his current professional career.
“Leicester City's forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku visits his manager Hon.Haruna Iddrisu who has played a major role in his footballing career in Ghana.
“Leicester City are still in talks with him to make him a permanent player from Sporting CP,” a May 15, 2024 social media post accompanied by the player greeting the MP read.
Issahaku, currently on loan from Sporting Lisbon, has had an outstanding season, earning the Leicester City Men's Young Player of the Season award.
The 20-year-old forward made a significant impact with his performances with six goals and 13 assists in the just-ended Championship season.
He has since established himself as one of Leicester's key playmakers in their trophy-winning season and their promotion to the English Premier League.
One of his most memorable moments came when he scored a hat-trick in Leicester's 5-0 thrashing of Southampton.
