Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku has expressed his excitement after completing his transfer back to the club.
The prolific forward emphasized his commitment to giving his all for the team, aiming to help the club achieve its objectives.
Speaking to the club’s media following his transfer, the former USM Alger striker referred to Kotoko as his home.
“It’s a great feeling to be back at Kotoko. This club has always felt like home to me, and I’m eager to contribute to the team’s success. The support from the fans has been incredible, even during my time away, and I’m ready to give everything on the pitch to make them proud,” Opoku stated.
Kwame Opoku rejoined Asante Kotoko on a free transfer, marking his return for a second spell with the Reds. The striker previously played for the club from 2020 to 2021 before transferring to USM Alger.
Opoku has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, which will keep him at the club until mid-2027. He is expected to make his debut in a highly anticipated match against Kotoko's fiercest rivals, Hearts of Oak, on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
