Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan says he’s not getting carried away following a brilliant start to the new Ghana Premier League season.
According to local reports, the 24-year-old could be selected by coach Kwesi Appiah for Iceland international friendly next month.
"The positive reviews I am getting wouldn't make me complacent and would love it anytime I get the [Ghana] call-up and would go and give my best," Annan told his club's website.
"I always have the mentality to work hard, give 200 percent at training and in games and be consistent. This is the time for me to work even harder. I had a good run last season and want to keep my consistency this year," he said.
"I worked really hard to get this better and it's the performance that is making the fans think that I am ripe for the national team. I have resolved to work even harder to improve and keep that public opinion. I always want to put up my best and allow the fans and my teammates to do the ratings," he added.
Annan was shortlisted for the league's Player of the Month of March but lost to Wafa striker Aminu Mohammed.
