Inform Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan remains calm despite calls for him to be included in the senior national team, the Black Stars.

The goalkeeper who has been on top form this season says he will continue to work hard and improve his performances for the Reds but he is humbled by the fans linking him to a Black Stars call up.

Annan's performances for the Porcupine Warriors has seen him nominated for the player of the Month of March, only to lose to WAFA's Aminu Mohammed.

Following his impressive start to the new campaign, the 24 year old says the positive reviews will only motivate him to do better.

"This is the time for me to work even harder. I had a good run last season and wanted to keep my consistency this year. I worked really hard to get this good and it's the performance that is making the fans think that I am ripe for the National Team. I have resolved to work even harder to improve and keep that public opinion," he told asantekotokosc.com.

"I always want to put up my best, and allow the performance and the fans to do the talking for me," he added.

The former WAFA goalkeeper has already won to man of the match accolades after his heroics against Inter Allies and Medeama.

"The positive reviews I am getting wouldn't make me complacent", he continued. "I always have the mentality to work hard, give 200 percent at training and in games and be consistent. I would love it anytime I get the call-up and would go and give my best."
