Fenerbahce eye deal for Chelsea defender Baba Rahman

Turkish side FENERBAHCE are interested in signing Chelsea defender Baba Rahman.

Rahman moved to Stamford Bridge last summer for £14million from Augsburg and struggled to get regular minutes under Jose Mourinho.

But since the Portuguese’s departure in December, the Ghana left-back has been given a chance by Guus Hiddink due to injuries in defence.

Baba’s regular playing time could still be in doubt with incoming coach Antonio Conte eager to bring in another Ghanaian Kwadwo Asamoah from Juventus.

Turkish newspaper Fanatik claim Fenerbahce have made the 21-year-old a transfer target.

It is claimed that with Caner Erkin set to leave in the summer, manager Vitor Pereira wants to bring Rahman to Turkey; a move that could assure him of more regular playing time.
