The Chief Executive of Ashanti Gold, Kudjoe Fianoo has flatly denied quitting the club.
Media reports suggested that he had presented a letter of resignation to the Ashanti Gold Board which had been reluctantly accepted, but Fianoo told footy-ghana.com that he had presented no letter, adding that he is still at post.
‘It is not true. I have not presented any letter to the Board. As we speak now, I am in my office in Obuasi working with my colleagues.’
Fianoo also told footy-ghana.com that he is scheduled to meet the Board next week to discuss plans for the coming season, noting that some players at the club could have their contracts renewed.
‘I haven’t officially met the board since our MTN FA Cup final loss to New Edubiase United. We are scheduled to meet next week and at the moment I am talking to a few players with a view to renewing their contracts.’
