President of the Fiji Football Association, Rajesh Patel has revealed that his outfit cannot afford for Black Stars head coach Goran Stevanovic for the vacant coaching job.
The Fiji FA has received over 30 applications for the position and an appointment is expected before Christmas.
The 53-year-old was appointed Black Stars head coach in 2011 on a two-year deal, however, he was sacked the following year due to poor performance at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
He led Ghana to finish fourth at the tournament.
The former Partizan tactician played 17 matches; won nine, four draws and four defeats.
