Filipino gymnast, Carlos Yulo, is set to earn $276,000 plus a fully furnished house among other gifts after winning after winning two gold medals in gymnastics for the country at the Paris 2024 Olympics

Carlos Yulo became the hero of the country as he excelled in the floor and vault events.

As a result, Yulo will be welcomed home as a national hero for his outstanding performance at the Olympics, and he will receive a long list of gifts from the government and various companies in his country.

The 24-year-old from Manila clinched the gold medal in the vault event with an average score of 15.116 points, beating Armenian Artur Davtyan, who took silver, and Briton Harry Hepworth, who won bronze.


Carlos Yulo's success has gone unnoticed in his country. The BBC reports that he will be honoured with a variety of gifts from government officials, restaurants, businesses, and even medical facilities.

Here’s the list of gifts Yulo will receive in the Philippines:

- The Philippine government will give the gymnast 10 million pesos (around $173,000), a reward promised to all the country’s gold medalists.

- A real estate company promised him a fully furnished three-bedroom house in McKinley Hill, valued at over $400,000, the largest condominium complex in Manila.

- The Philippine House of Representatives will award him another 6 million pesos (about $103,000) in cash.

- A gastroenterologist offered him free consultations and colonoscopies for life.

- The University of Mindanao promised him college credits.

- A lifetime supply of mac and cheese, ramen, and grilled chicken is offered by various restaurants.

- A wedding photographer promised free services for the future.

- A company offered him a lifetime supply of phone cases.

- Some restaurants and cafes celebrated Yulo’s medals by offering free meals to anyone named “Carlos” or “Edriel” (his middle name).
