Final funeral rite of Damongo coach performed at Bole

The final funeral rites of Dari Yussif Seidu known as “Coach Kukudaze” took place at Bole and was led by the Chief Imam and elders of the Muslim community.

The prayer was done in the family house of the late coach in Bole Korupe on Sunday, June 21, 2020.

He was the coach of Mole Nationals for many years and has won some laurels with the team. He coached the team to reach the MTN FA competition some years and was also vital in Mole Nationals winning back to back the Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor (ll) Organised tournaments in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah region.

Mr. Seidu from reports looked healthy during his last training with the Mole Nationals on Thursday, June 11, 2020, but surprisingly passed on the following day.

Many football players in Damongo passed through the tutelage of Coach Kukudaze with some of the players currently playing with big teams in Ghana and abroad including Yussif Rayanu, (Ex-Captain, Wa African United), Issahaku Mubarik (Formerly of Wa African United) and Kraja Jalil (Captain Mole Nationals) as well as Mohammed Sanka (Russia), Abudu Issahaka (Tunisia), Sibeko Hemas (Swaziland) and others.

Mr. Dari Seidu was buried on June 12, 2020, in accordance with Islamic tradition.

Present at the funeral rites were Chiefs and elders and Imans of Bole, Management of Mole Nationals Football Club in Damongo, leadership of the West Gonja Municipal Football Association and the Bole District Football Association.
