Fire humbles Prisons

Accra, Aug 1, GNA - The Ghana Fire Service handball team at the weekend fought gallantly to humble a determined Prisons side 26-18 in their week 14 encounter honoured at the Fire Academy Training School. Relying heavily on their massive home advantage, Fire led 15-10 at half time and further stamped their authority on the game when play resumed in the second half with an admirable dominance in all sectors of the game.

The team rode high on the effort of inspirational Eramus Akrong and hard working Isaac Ankrah to ensure the visitors left without a point. On a day tactical discipline proved decisive for the host, Fire's coach Henry Adumuah won the hearts of the scanty crowd that patronised the game with his rich directions, which virtually controlled the game from the bench.

Elsewhere, the Police team humiliated Asomdwe 26 - 14 whilst Kpando Young Hands made no appearance in their clash against HOSTAG.
