Ghanaian midfielder Richard Boadu is set to tie the knot to his long-time girlfriend.

The Libya-based midfielder announced his upcoming wedding ceremony on social media.

Although Richard Boadu did not make the location of the ceremony known, he stated that the wedding would take place on August 3, 2024.

The former Asante Kotoko star in a post on social media wrote, "3rd August. I grateful lord."

Friends, family and football mates are expected to grace the occasion in the coming weekend.

Boadu, affectionately known as Agadas, earned a move to Libya to join Al-Ahli Benghazi after a stellar campaign with the Porcupine Warriors, where he helped Asante Kotoko win the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has been a key figure for Al Ahli in the Libyan topflight league and recently travelled with the club to Italy for pre-season.

He started his career in Ghana with Medeama before moving to Asante Kotoko.
