Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has stated that his fellow former international players are ready to take on parliamentarians in the pre-Democracy Cup clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The match between the former Black Stars players and the Parliamentarians will serve as a curtain-raiser to the main event of the day.
Following this, Asante Kotoko will face rivals Hearts of Oak in the inaugural Democracy Cup, scheduled for next week Wednesday.
The game is part of the activities commemorating 30 years of parliamentary democracy in the Fourth Republic.
Initially, the game was slated for last week Friday but was rescheduled to Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
In a conversation with Asempa FM regarding the former Black Stars' readiness, Badu said, "We are ready. They have to train well because we are fit. We are doing our work on the pitch."
"We will beat them by a huge margin. They also said they will beat us, but we are ready for them."
