Accra, Jan. 4, GNA - Mr Annue Coffie, a former goalkeeper of Kumasi Asante Kotoko football club and the senior national team, the Black Stars, is confident of succeeding coach Fred Osam-Duodo as the new Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Coach Osam-Duodo vacated his position mid last year to take up an appointment as the head coach of the Gambian Under-17 team. Mr Coffie revealed to the GNA Sports in an interview that he has already applied for the job and he is looking forward to the FA to give him the nod.
The US-based coach told the GNA Sports that his presence at the secretariat of the FA would enhance the development of the game since he has acquired a lot of knowledge in coaching over the past years. Mr Coffie said when given the job he would make sure he is actively involved in the administration at the FA to ensure the successful implementation of his ideas.
The GNA Sports has however gathered that two other veteran coaches have applied for the job and the FA will soon name its technical director.
Mr Kwesi Nyantakyie, Vice Chairman of the GFA told the GNA Sports in an earlier interview that his outfit would appoint a new technical director by the close of March.
