Ghanaian forward Zuberu Sharani met his favourite striker, Erling Haaland, after Slovan Bratislava's UEFA Champions League clash with the English champions.

Sharani made his debut in the competition for the Slovakian club after coming on in the second half of the 4-0 defeat to the 2023 winners.

The former Ghana U20 striker has admired the City forward from afar and seized the moment to meet him after the game at Tehelne Pole.

Haaland scored, adding to strikes from Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, and James McAtee, as Man City secured their first win in the new UEFA Champions League format.

Meanwhile, Slovan Bratislava are yet to pick up a point in the competition after defeats to Celtic and Manchester City. The Slovakian league leaders will next face Girona in the European competition.

Sharani has made three appearances in the league this season and is yet to open his goal-scoring account.

However, he has a goal in the Slovnaft Cup after making one appearance in the cup competition.
