Joshua "The Hitter" Clottey, a former International Boxing Federation (IBF) world Welterweight champion, has promised to give a good account of himself, when he returns into the ring in the "Bukom Brawl" on March 8, at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The former world champion (39-5,22KOs), would stage a comeback, after over two years of absence in the ring, in a ten round undercard bout, with Tanzania's Mfaume Ahmad Said (14-5-2, 6KOs).

Clottey,42, addressing a pre-bout conference, said he was happy to fight in Ghana after a long while.

He said he was ready to prove that, his career was not over, as suggested by some boxing pundits, adding that, he was not going into the fight for the purse.

“I want to say here and now that I am not after the money. There is even no money on this bout but I am only fighting for the love and passion for the sport," he said.

“Age is just a number and a mind set. I taken good care of my body. You are going to see me fight in Ghana for the first time after a while. The truth is you can't cheat your body hence this fight is crucial. I would decide my future in boxing after the fight,” Clottey added.

Meanwhile, the Bukom Brawl under the promotions of Box Office Sports (BOS) Promotions and Multi Choice Ghana would witness an interesting combat between Michael ‘One Bullet’ Ansah Sheriff “One Time” Quaye as the main event for the evening.

The two pugilists would be fighting for the second time in a 12 round bout set to settle the scores between fans of both boxers, with their previous bout ending in a draw.

The winner of the bout, would not only go away with the bragging rights, but would also take away the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Interim Africa and the National Lightweight titles up for grab.

Both boxers have however promised fireworks on the evening with Michael Ansah promising a third round knockout of his opponent.
