Ghana midfielder Forson Amankwah emerged as the hero for Norwich City, scoring two dramatic late goals to secure a stunning comeback victory over Coventry City in the English Championship.

The match took place at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon, where Norwich initially found themselves trailing after Milan van Ewijk gave Coventry the lead in the 24th minute. The Canaries struggled to respond, heading into halftime 1-0 down despite dominating possession in the second half.

Manager David Wagner introduced Amankwah in the 84th minute as a replacement for Kellen Fisher, and the 20-year-old wasted no time making an impact.

In a thrilling finale, Amankwah levelled the game with a 91st-minute strike before completing the turnaround with a decisive goal in the 95th minute.

The victory lifts Norwich City to 11th place in the Championship standings, with 36 points from their campaign so far.

Amankwah, who joined Norwich from Red Bull Salzburg, has now scored twice in 17 appearances for the club this season.

The midfielder will be eager to build on this performance as Norwich prepare for their FA Cup third-round clash against Premier League side Brighton on Saturday, January 11, followed by a league trip to Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane on Saturday, January 18.
