Black Stars midfielder Forson Amankwah notched his third assist of the season as Norwich City defeated Luton Town 4-2 on Saturday, November 30, 2024, moving up to ninth in the Championship table.
Norwich, entering the game with three losses in their last five matches, needed a victory to propel themselves into the top half of the table. It was Amankwah who initiated their comeback after the Canaries fell behind in the 18th minute.
His determination to win the ball in the penalty box allowed him to poke it to teammate Ante Crnac, who confidently fired the ball into the net for his third goal of the season.
Crnac later scored a brace as Norwich sealed a 4-2 comeback win.
For Amankwah, who was an unused substitute in Ghana’s last two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches, this performance will serve as a significant confidence boost heading into the upcoming festive fixtures.
The 21-year-old will, however, be hoping for an injury-free season, having struggled with fitness issues since his move to England.
