Four accused of Kobina Amissah’s attack granted bail

Four persons who were remanded in Police custody for 24 hours over alleged brutal attacks on Elmina Sharks trainer Cobbina Emissah have been granted bail of forty thousand Ghana cedis (GHC40,000) by the Takoradi Circuit Court, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.

The accused persons Mena Badu, John Dapaah, Alfred Kobina and Frank Gartey were granted a bail of GHC10,000 each with two sureties.

They will re-appear before the court on 12th July 2016 as the case has been adjourned the Takoradi Circuit Court.

The four accused persons were arrested by the Takoradi Police for attacking the head coach of Elmina Sharks Cobbina Amissah during a Division One League game with Proud United at the Sekondi Gyandu Park.

Amissah collapsed from the brutal attacks of the four young men and was rushed to the Takoradi Hospital where he resuscitated.

Many football commentators and enthusiasts have accused the security for the numerous acts of hooliganism as football venues.

But the Police have acted swiftly to clean their messy image.
