Belgian winger, Francis Amuzu, endured another injury setback on Saturday against KV Mechelen, limping off after nearly an hour of play due to sharp thigh pain.

This latest injury comes after a season marred by pubalgia and a recent ankle injury during the preseason.

Despite his recurring injury woes, Amuzu managed to make a significant impact before his exit. He scored his first goal of the season, putting Anderlecht ahead 2-1 in the 50th minute with a superb strike from a tight angle. The goal was assisted by Yari Verschaeren following a corner.

Anderlecht secured a 3-1 victory at the Veoliastadion Achter De Kazerne, with Ludwig Augustinsson equalizing before the break and Théo Leoni sealing the win late in the game. Francis Amuzu's compatriot, Majeed Ashimeru, was an unused substitute for Anderlecht.
