Frank Lampard wants Callum Hudson-Odoi to emulate Raheem Sterling

Manager for Chelsea FC, Frank Lampard has noted that Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling is a player whose footsteps Callum Hudson-Odoi should follow if he wants to reach his full potential.

The English-born Ghanaian winger has been tipped for greatness in the near future following his development in the last couple of season from the Blues Youth team to the senior side.

Speaking on the player’s talent in a recent interview, Frank Lampard has shared that Raheem Sterling is a good example for a young player like Hudson-Odoi to follow.

The gaffer explained, “Sterling’s an incredible example of a player with great talent whose work ethic added to that.

“The improvement he made through absolute dedication to become a complete player we’re wowed by.

“It’s a great model for Callum as he has those talents, too.

“I want him to be the best, as he has that potential, and a lot of that means offering hard truths.”

Sterling took the English top-flight by storm during his time at Liverpool. Having moved on to Manchester City, the Three Lions attacker has managed to win 2 EPL titles.

His hard work has been a phenomenon which has now seen him become one of the best players in the division.

Meanwhile, Callum Hudson-Odoi is just 18 years of age and is expected to be a key member for Frank Lampard’s young Chelsea team which looks capable of enjoying success in the shortest possible time.

He recently signed a new five-year contract that will see him earning 180,000-a-week.
